Deeper strategic simulation

Community Proposal: Elevating Strategic Depth in CoN:WW3

Welcome to the community, commanders.

This publication is dedicated to experienced players, lovers of deep strategic thinking, and those who appreciate the precise tactical calculations that truly distinguish Veterans from Amateurs.

To take the realism and strategic depth of Conflict of Nations: World War 3 to the next level, I would like to propose the following features for a community vote:

1. Day & Night Cycle (Visibility & Range)

The Concept: Introduce a dynamic morning and evening system that actively impacts combat conditions.

The Mechanics: Darkness will drastically reduce unit visibility and the effective firing range of artillery/guns. To counter this, forces will need to rely heavily on Radar support to maintain operational efficiency during night operations.

2. Dynamic Weather & Terrain Hazards

The Concept: Weather shouldn't just be visual; it should dictate the terms of battle.

The Mechanics: Implementing localized weather systems (like heavy storms or monsoons). For example, coastal or low-lying lands could become muddy and rugged, significantly slowing down troop movements and reducing the overall combat effectiveness of heavy armor and tanks.

3. Advanced Logistics & Supply Line System

The Concept: Move away from fully automated, magical upkeep and introduce true operational logistics.

The Mechanics: Troops will require physical supply lines to maintain peak combat readiness. Supplies must be delivered via railroads, transport aircraft, or logistics trucks.

The Strategic Impact: This opens up the realistic execution of sieges. If you successfully encircle and trap enemy forces, their supplies are cut off. Over time, shortages of fuel, ammunition, and rations will severely weaken the besieged army, making them much easier to destroy.

4. Elite Specialized Units & Rebalancing

The Concept: Expanding tactical options with high-value assets.

The Mechanics:

Add a dedicated Sniper Team for reconnaissance and high-value target elimination.

Introduce Armored Officers to provide command buffs to mechanized divisions.

Rebalance the Electromagnetic Gun (Railgun): While remaining an elite, highly destructive unit, its effectiveness should be heavily dependent on terrain, restricting its range and power if deployed in unfavorable environments.

🗳️ Conclusion

These features are tailored for "realistic generals"—players who have a genuine passion for authentic grand strategy, who love to fully immerse themselves in the theater of war, and who want to meticulously plan every plot and encirclement.

Most players are already confused by the variaty of features and units. I see them Spam and attack with normal inf most of time. I don't think these features will help.

The Forum is back! Good news.

I like the concept of night day and leverage terrain type.

It ll elevate brainstorming .

But if you could simplify not to frighten newcomers accessibility would be nice.
