Naval combat should get a rework

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share some thoughts on how naval combat currently plays out in Supremacy WW3, and suggest a few changes to make it more active.

Right now, ships are mostly used as floating artillery to bombard coastal cities, while actual large-scale naval battles rarely happen. To fix this, I propose the following adjustments:

1. Lower the resource and time costs for researching and producing all naval units. Making ships more accessible will encourage players to actually build them, leading to a higher number of ships on the map and a much greater chance of encounters.

2. Merge smaller ocean tiles into larger sea zones. Concentrating movement paths will naturally funnel players toward each other, increasing the frequency of encounters.

3. Reduce the overall attack damage of all ships and submarines. This will prevent quick one-sided wipes and ensure that naval battles last longer, giving players time to react, reinforce, and actually strategize during combat.

What do you think?

I completely agree with this. Right now, naval combat feels more like a chore than actual tactical warfare. Ships cost way too much for how quickly they can get wiped out if you look away for a second
