A new chapter in the history of Supremacy 1914 is about to begin!

After months of development, testing, and improvements, we're thrilled to announce that Supremacy 1914: Definitive Edition will begin its rollout on November 4th!

What is Supremacy 1914: Definitive Edition?

Supremacy 1914: Definitive Edition marks the next major evolution of the game. Rebuilt using the Unity engine, it introduces a completely new visual experience, bringing the battlefield to life in a fully animated 3D environment.

Watch your armies advance across the map, explore your growing empire from new perspectives, and experience the world of Supremacy 1914 like never before.

But Definitive Edition is much more than a visual transformation. Alongside its new look come new features, improved controls, and major technical improvements, all designed to create a smoother, more intuitive experience.

And perhaps most importantly, this transition lays the technical foundation for the future of Supremacy 1914, giving us new opportunities to expand and improve the game in the years ahead.

Supremacy 1914: Definitive Edition will initially only be available on mobile, but a desktop version is planned to follow in 2027.

New Features and More Control

Definitive Edition isn't just about appearances. We're introducing new features and improvements to make navigating the battlefield and managing your empire more intuitive.

Here's a look at some of the features you’ll be able to experience:

• Map Rotation: Rotate the map freely to view the battlefield from different angles. Whether you're surveying your borders or watching a battle unfold up close, you'll have more control over your perspective.
• New Map Filters: Get a clearer overview of the information that matters most to your strategy with new map filters.
• Province Production and Building Display: Keep a better overview of your provinces with improved displays for production and buildings, making it easier to see which provinces are busy producing units, or building buildings.
• Seasons: Get the full seasons experience. Supremacy 1914: Definitive Edition features the ranked leaderboard and the seasonal content in its own menu tab. See the rewards for the season and monitor your progress on the leaderboard.

And there's more on the horizon! We are currently working on additional features that we'll be sharing more about soon.

Shaping the Definitive Edition

Since April, Definitive Edition has been available as a separate app, giving players an early opportunity to explore the new experience and help us improve it.

And you've certainly kept us busy!

We've implemented numerous fixes and optimizations aimed at reducing crashes, improving stability, and making the game run more smoothly across different devices. We also managed to bring down average loading times from 30 to 7 seconds!

Map readability has also been a longstanding topic of discussion within the community, and it's something we've been paying close attention to. We've already made a number of adjustments, including improvements to unit leashes, unit orientation, unit labels and more, to make armies easier to identify and the map easier to navigate.

There's still some fine-tuning ahead of us, and we'll continue monitoring and refining these elements, so please keep sharing your feedback with us in our official discord or in our forums.

How Will the Rollout Work?

The rollout will begin on November 4th, starting with a small percentage of Android players.

During this initial phase, approximately 5-10% of players using Android phones will be able to update their existing Supremacy 1914 app to the new Definitive Edition.

This gradual approach allows us to closely monitor performance and stability as the new version reaches more devices. Once we're confident that everything is running smoothly, we'll progressively expand availability to more players.

If you don't receive the update immediately, there's no need to worry. Definitive Edition will become available to more players as the rollout progresses.

What about my game account?

You’ll be able to seamlessly use your regular game account on the Definitive Edition, carrying over all your games and progress.

Important: Please register your account with your email, if you haven’t done so yet!

A Note on Older Devices

With the introduction of the new 3D environment and additional graphical features, Definitive Edition will also place different demands on mobile hardware.

As a result, players with old devices may experience some issues running 500 player maps smoothly.
